Oracle SOA Governance portfolio gets stronger with acquisition of AmberPoint

Oracle has acquired AmberPoint, a best-in-class SOA Management provider. AmberPoint has been recognized for its innovation in SOA Management, Business Transaction Management and run-time SOA Governance.
The combination of Oracle and AmberPoint is expected to extend Oracle’s leadership in Fusion Middleware SOA Management Solutions. Adding AmberPoint’s capabilities to Oracle’s solutions is expected to provide customers with more agility and visibility into their business processes, enabling increased control and performance of critical applications.
From a pure SOA Governance perspective AmberPoint adds tremendous value to Oracle’s runtime Governance capabilities. Also the recently released Oracle Enterprise Repository 11g (OER 11g) already has closed loop governance support for AmberPoint’s AMS, through Oracle Service Registry 11g (OSR 11g) and registry-repository exchange with OER 11g.
