Cloud computing is a style of computing in which dynamically scalable and often virtualised resources are provided as a service over the Internet. Users need not have knowledge of, expertise in, or control over the technology infrastructure "in the cloud" that supports them.
Some analysts and vendors define cloud computing narrowly as an updated version of utility computing: basically virtual servers available over the Internet. Others go very broad, arguing anything you consume outside the firewall is "in the cloud," including conventional outsourcing.
So, one can use any virtual servers available on the www to create a cloud eg. Cloud Service Providers including IBM , Amazon , Google , Microsoft , Yahoo , and Level 3 Communications are the leaders in the cloud computing industry. It is being adopted by individual users maximally.
Richard Stallman, founder of the Free Software Foundation, believes that cloud computing endangers liberties because users sacrifice their privacy and personal data to a third party.
