Bonjour à tous,
February 5, 2010 in SOA Solutions by admin
My name is Nabil, I joined Oracle in April 2009 as a Technology Business Development Consultant at OracleDirect Dublin. At the moment, I work for the French market in the Technology General Business division (Database, Application Server, Oracle Fusion Middleware…).
My background
I graduated from the ESCT EUROMED MANAGEMENT, a French business school based in the South East of France (Toulon). I specialized in business to business account management. Currently I hold a master’s of science in B2B account management oriented in the business development of the information technology. During the past three years, I have had the opportunity to travel to Canada (Montreal and Toronto) and Argentina (Buenos Aires) in order to achieve an internship and complete a degree in International Business.
After my last internship as junior account manager in the Telco and IT sector, I wanted to join a major leader in the IT sector. In October 2009, I applied to Oracle and I was immediately contacted and my Oracle adventure started.
My first period working for Oracle
When I joined Oracle in April 2009, I participated to an Oracle induction boot camp and took part in an intensive three week training which focused on learning about the portfolio of products which Oracle has to offer and about selling methodologies (Sandler training). I had the chance to collaborate and to share unique experiences with other Oracle colleagues from all over Europe. Thanks to the Foundation training, I now have many friends from Stockholm, Amsterdam, and Prague…
My role
I work in the French Tech team based in Dublin as a Territory Development Consultant. My role is to build a business approach in order to generate valuable opportunities by calling potential customers and current Oracle customers. Typically, through professional discussions, I have to identify the needs and priorities of our prospects/customers in order to coordinate later with the sales team so that they can go further into the sales cycle. I work closely with the marketing team and the sales representatives to follow Oracle customers.
Feedback on my working experience
I am thoroughly enjoying my time at Oracle. I personally think that working for Oracle pushes me to excel, to build on my abilities to have a better understanding through high-level conversations with IT people. Working with that philosophy in mind I was awarded the EMEA best new starter the first quarter of the fiscal year.
Finally, working in such a friendly and multi-cultural environment gives me the opportunity to grow as a person. Fun sport activities and Dublin nights out are part of our life at Oracle Dublin. Personally, I think that starting my professional life at Oracle gives me a good career prospect and I hope that I will continue my Oracle adventure as long as possible.
So, if you are passionate about technology and project oriented but also attracted by the multicultural company do not hesitate to consider opportunities offered by Oracle.
